    smuggler ......... You don't know a lot about about Looksmart (these days) & what is really happening, do you ?

    Much has been written, here on this (& other) boards about the remarkable progress, that they have made, since the closure of the MSN, Licensing & Listings days.

    But do you read what is written ?? - Can you read ??

    But smuggler53, the truth is, you are NOT on your own, as most people do NOT understand at all, what really IS happening. Even when they read the notes or, opinions, as written.

    A reality, that the PRINT Media is making way, or, (in these early days), have at least signalled their recognition, (almost an 'admission'), to the fact that the internet is NOW, (in more ways than one), a force to be reckoned with.

    Recent purchases (by them ...eg; NYT's of About.com) reiterate their understanding of a definate need, for them to have a 'piece of the action' is being a clear acceptance of the fact, that people are starting to get their daily 'fix' of news & views, from the Internet.

    Yes ...Times have changed!! - Information is posted here daily. And read. Information taken from all over the net.

    But Investors, (are there any left? - considering the fixation 'impatient ones' have with 'day trading'), really haven't a 'clue'.

    Like yourself, they don't realise that the 'new' broom within LOOK, is quickly turning things around, (supported by what is transpiring in certain segments of the 'search' sector) and have shown to some investors already, that they are clearly 'ahead of the pack', with their progressive understandings. Now what WAS that, that you recently said, of...... "where people get their 'dog' food" ?? .... LOL !!

    The Yahoo announcement article on friday shows, that Yahoo have been forced to 'scamble', (with them announcing), IMO, virtually a 'copy cat' attempt at a subscription-based model, (built around a 'handful of publishers), in what I see as a 'catch up' move by them.

    I believe, shortly, the market will learn of just one of LOOK's latest involvements, in this regard. (It's good. I will expand some thoughts on it, when they do). I'm not too sure that they will announce another one, of a possible, at least TWO more, that I have found.

    Yahoo's move, IMO, is similar to what supermarkets said to themselves, (when boutique retailers sprung up everywhere), "OK, we'll go get some imported cheese, olives & gherkins, into OUR 'deli' section, we'll add some crayfish, prawns, oysters & mussels too !! - Then we'll surely match these cheeky 'boutique' type upstarts". (Being like Looksmart, a business with real 'forward thinking' & understanding). What they did forget was, (the fact), that they still have 'part time' school kids working in their deli section, (plus their 'childlike' mentality), who don't really know, or, understand, the product, or, it's origionality, let alone a proper presentation. And, let alone, their lack of real service.

    Yes, it's clear to me, from that Link, (above) they currently have little understanding of, the very transformation that is quickly happening. Looksmart's suite of Product, Tools & Technology, (announced only thursday), should give you a better idea, from where I am coming from.

    Yes ..... It is a fact that 'old world' values of the traditional (print) media are being replaced, literally with '100's of thousands' of web based publishers, that do attract their own audiences. Some posts on this Hot Copper site have over 200 'viewings', yet (like all Australian stockboards) an opportunity to make a 3" or, 4" column on the RHS here on this board & fill each & every page, (with revenue generating adds), continues to go begging. (At no great expense to management of HC, too). For, we do read, Left, to Right!!

    Just look to your right, as you read (particularly when typing up a post) and you'll get a better idea of what (the above paragraph) should be happening and then multiply it by millions of pages on the web, that will soon be filled with 'sqillions' of relevant (to content) ADS, down that RHS !!

    But smuggler, please read what LOOK "longs" over on Yahoo are trying to tell you. THEY know !! - YES ... THEY know!!

    IF only you could read !!

    LOK's current price (sub $1.00) is just .05cps, in the 'old' value, as we once knew it!! - IMHO, It is a 'nick' !!! - There is no downside from here !!!

    But, please ................ don't you buy it, whatever !!
