aust scooter sales 2011

FCAI have released the full year 2011 motorcycle and scooter sales numbers here : -

Unfortunately the Vmoto 2011 numbers are the same as the qtr 3 year to date numbers (318 units) - which results in showing a 20% drop in scooter sales when compared to 2010 - which is obviously incorrect.

I contacted FCAI and it would appear that VMT haven't supplied the data collection agency it's Q4 numbers. I sent an email to Vmoto to advise them of the omission in the FCAI data.

Hopefully it will get corrected.

Overall though scooter sales up 9% for the year in Australia. The top scooter model is the Piaggio Fly 150 with 542 units for the year.

Domino's could take VMT to the number 1 scooter model in the next couple of years if it comes off!!
