You argue a point that many analyst can't come to a conclusion on. One thing they all agree on is that Asia will be a huge growth market for LCC's, where they differ is whether or not it will be profitable. It seems a 50/50 arguement with the negative side being that it will have too much capacity and won't be sustainable. Some analysts go as far as calling it a blood bath.
Qantas and Jetstar need to co-exist to survive. Jetstar Asia is not the big answer that it is made out to be. Airlines are just about surviving now, whether they are a LCC or a full service, it is about survival.
IMO, Qantas need a tie up in Asia, Cathay IMO is the best suitor. This will never happen because of the Qantas Sale Act.
PS, Lion Air is the Airline that has the best service, it constantly gets you off quickly on the emergency slides at the end of the runway LOL
