re: * cricket The team selection is crazy. Why isn't Langer opening? He scores as fast as anyone bar Gilchrist in test cricket and is a regular hitter of sixes. He is also a very successful one day performer for his state.
Gilchrist's one day average is 35 compared to 55 for tests. Considering he has plenty of time to bat in the one dayers - opener - it indicates that he is not suited opening, otherwise there would be no reason why he would not be averaging around 50.
