If you look at what stuffed Leighton up, the main things were the Desal plant, Airport Link and their ventures into the Middle East. I'd be pretty surprised if they were Bill Wild's fault.
The things he's got planned are what the whole world has been saying for ages. Get rid of the rubbish and consolidate. No need for them to have crap companies like S&P & Optimus when there are other Mech Services companies in those states. There doesn't seem any point in having Gordon Brothers, although they could be handy if the mining thing kicks off.
Maybe the hole they dug themselves through the middle east is too big to get out of, but you have to start somewhere. They are still getting big orders, 750 Bourke St, RAH etc.
