No one's going to pay squillions for English shale energy properties yet.
None has been successfully fracked in the UK yet so the technical issues could take some time. Success is not guaranteed.
Second, every proposal so far attracts considerable local opposition.
Third, the UK's energy department is headed by a green lunatic (though his Conservative number 2 is doing his best to make sure that shale applications progress in a deliberate transparent way).
You are years off big money for UK shale. If ever.
