Given 70 percent of power generation in WA is from gas,WPL set the local gas price via their external gas contract prices.

Whats required is different players buying gas ,there by reducing WPL's defacto monopoly to set the gas price.

    The problem brucey,
1,cols a lib, private enterprise should be running power supply, what hes doing is against his own political principles.
2,as an economist,he should know private enterprise only, can produce the most efficent power supply,in terms of availiability and price,by-guess what?, competition.
The real problem is people like you,who are colour blind, especialy if you think I'm red.

I've said plenty of times,I'm all for a progressive conservative party based on the Newfoundland model, who brucey, were able to do what col couldnt,-get a better deal for all his state constituents from Chevron.

The chamber of commerce guy was interviewed by Paul Murray on 6 pr ,he applauded labor, for creating an enviroment of competition,he applauded col,for getting the price somewhere near full cost recovery.

The next step should have being the privatiation of power supply, maybe to some-one like ORG,they do have a history of power supply.
Where he was at odds with col,was the re-aggregation of the power suppliers.
SO we got close to the to the mountain top,and cols called for a retreat, bloody typical, hes more commo, than labor, but your to blind to see it.

If everything was/is tickety-boo in the power supply-generation in WA,what the hell was Alcoa doing finaincing EGO,to the tune of $100 million dollars.

If you wanna have a go brucey-do some homework.
