no need to get all het up raider just because someone puts an alternate opinion out there.
i have problems with power generation being in the hands of private companies who can hold the public hence government to ransom.
as i said - i dont recall that many problems when we had the state electricity commission - thats not to say there were'nt any. it was when they privatised it, as in nsw and vic, that problems arose and the bills started rising quicker than ever before. the sole objective of a company is to generate profits and if its at the expense of some group such as the pensioners so be it.
i would have thought considering your predilection for the alp that you would be all for power staying in the hands of the govt
