This is the third time this crap has happened to me.
The first was when CDE took over BSG. There was no premium in the deal for BSG holders and CDE was in freefall before and after the T/O. Most of my handy gains went up in smoke. The BSG s/holders were even more rebellious than you lot here but it was alway a done deal.
The second was when Kinross took over Redback. Redback was once an ASX company and was proving up/developing multi-million oz/y gold mines in W Africa. I was ahead big time. I lost $50k o/n earlier this week and nearly $150k since takeover. The irony is, there is nothing wrong with the Redback mines. The problems are in Kinross and their management.
Now this debacle. The lesson is: Sell if you hold the target company. Whatever the directors organize is in their best interest and are happy to sell the s/holders down the drain.
