I agree that I would not trust a broker report in isolation and always do my own research. However, when the broker report confirms my own numbers, it gives a greater level of comfort (see my post on 4 Jan 2012, value of $224M plus Sorby Hills to broker report value of $310M inlcuding $105M Sorby Hills).
