Okay Rod , Magix etc , I will have one more go at explaining it and then give up .
It is akin to a company saying "we are going to issue shares , not equities like other companies "
And the questions are 1. Which other companies are issuing these shares
2. Can you explain the difference between shares and equities , I do not need to know how many shares , at what price etc . Just the reason for the difference in terms used to describe the instruments.
If a company made this statement , it would be nice to understand why they were making such a 'distinction' .
Is this another exercise in obfuscation or do they really believe there is a difference in the terms ?
