Excellent point faded, if most of the daily volume is due to traders, or TA, then it stands to reason that a sp will behave, more or less, as per the rules/indicators of charting etc. of course if a large percentage of daily volume is generated by an accumulator or an entity that is just trying to buy a large number of shares and not even looking at a chart, or such indicators, or even multiple "mum and dad" investors doing the same, then the sp is likely not to behave exactly in the way a TA trader sees a chart. That's why TA's like to see a hell of a lot of volume right? Not only is it easier to get in/out, but generally, there will be a significant amount of traders within that volume, and the sp is a little more " predictable ", and a good TA can have an indication of a change in the direction of a sp prior to the masses ( mum and dad's) etc and turn that into a profit.
I may be completely off the mark with my above observation. Although TA interests me greatly, I would not have the time on a daily basis to keep enough of an eye " on screen " to be any good as a trader . Not only making the lifestyle decision to do that in th efirst place! I prefer to find a cracker of a share like Pek and just wait for the market to " get it right in the end" regarding the share price, and leave the "churn" to the traders. Without buyers, long, short or daily, the sp wouldn't move at all!
