BACKGROUND

Mr. Richard Ian Cottee BA, LLB (Hons) served as the Chief Executive Officer of Nexus Energy Ltd. from May 3, 2010 to September 22, 2011 and its Managing Director from July 22, 2010 to September 22, 2011. Mr. Cottee served as the Managing Director of QGC Pty. Limited (also known as Queensland Gas Company Ltd.) from October 2002 to 2008. He has broad experience in commercial and management roles. Before joining QGC, he served as the Managing Director and Vice President of NRG Energy Ltd. (United Kingdom and Eire), Chief Executive Officer of CS Energy Ltd., Executive Director of Cyprus Australia Coal, Commercial Manager of Santos Ltd. and Business Development Manager of Itochu. He had been involved in the development of gas-fired power operations in Queensland. He spent six years with Freehills, Allens & Mallesons covering the resource. Mr. Cottee has more than 20 years' experience in resources and energy. He has been a Director of QGC Pty. Limited since October 24, 2002. He served as a Director of Nexus Energy Ltd. until September 22, 2011. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Monto Minerals Limited from December 13, 2002 to September 3, 2009. He is a Lawyer. Mr. Cottee holds a Law Degree from the University of Queensland and was admitted to practice in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
