on drilling assignments, it is the responsibility of the hirer[ie Newcrest] to pay for unforseen circumstances just as a builder will charge for variances which are outside his control. If the drill is non-doable, that's Newcrest's problem...not CKK's....IMHO....I reckon Newcrest still has to pay-up for the contract[probably insured against it anyway]..... :O)
