And as much as commodity prices may (or may not!) deflate, that's going to be fairly immaterial if the drilling proves a significant gold resource. If the gold is there, I'm hardly going to quibble over whether the SP is 10c or 20c (or 5c/10c even)... I'd *like* it to be the higher of the two, but either will suit me just fine.

Right now it's easy to get down about the SP, but the market is extremely skittish + this is a small as-yet unproven company + there is no resource estimate yet = big money is not involved with the SP yet at this point. Once ("if", if you wish), there is a proven resource with hard evidence to back it up, the money will follow and the SP will move.

Until that happens, SP fluctuations say more about the whim of holders than their convictions.
