I would say they could have drilled a narrow diameter hole and CASED it to prevent water ingress (guessing thats what the other operator is doing) , maybe they had a contract only for a larger diameter hole though and they had no casing pipe for such a larger diameter hole???? just guessing Merely conjecture on my part but would have thought at exploration say NQ sized hole would have determined lithology and may have been good insurance for other possible problems like water. Guess the good thing is that the water was not under too high a pressure so there were no lives lost. THe lower the sp goes the lower the cap value and the harder it will be to raise funds its a vicious cycle now unfortunately unless we get a miracle. (Didnt like writing that last para but got to be honest bad vibes otherwise)
