Indeed it equates to a very low CAGR. Silver isn't suppose to make you rich! Over the last 100 years it's done pretty well with a CAGR of about 4% The last 40 years it's fared even better with a CAGR of about 6.5%
Holding the alternative paper pound under the mattress would give you a CAGR of 0.00-% over the last 1200 years.
And holding the alternative paper pound in a deposit/savings account would have wiped you out multiple times.
My point is, forget about the last 10 years, the super-duper bull market in gold/silver has been with us since the dawn of time.
