    Aurelius1,

Just a further comment on your question of whether I am a Labor staffer: definitely not.

If you have been an avid follower of my posts, you would have noticed that in most of my lengthy posts there was an underlying theme, that of social justice and social equity. These two issues were the reasons I took up an interest in politics in my younger days, not as an active participant in our parliamentary processes, but as an interested by-stander.

Here in Australia and elsewhere in this world, much still need to be done at the government and individual levels to alleviate poverty.

Do you know how many homeless people there are in our cities who sleep out every night ? For a rich country like Australia is, it is obscene that we are, collectively as a community, unable to do more for these people.

I can go on and talk about other social justice issues, but that would take me a long time to finish.

Labor has the better policies than Liberals in these areas. I am not saying Labor has good policies than the Liberals. One has to make a choice which party at any point in time better satisfies one's view of what can be done and what should be done in the areas that are of concern to oneself.

Just think of me as a fairly well educated, well informed person with a social conscience who has had a life long interest in the well beings of those who are less fortunate and less able to look after themselves through no faults of their own. Just that I am more critical of the Liberals at the present time.

Enough of this chat from me tonight from Sydney.
