I'm offering an alternative to what is currently in practise.
Should as is the case in WA, we wait to intervene, for some child to rackup 100 convictions,50,25,15,10 or one?
What part of, when you've got nothing to lose,then you cant lose, do you not comprehend?
If you cant read or write properly,what or how can you know what your missing out on completely?.
This in my mind isnt even racial anymore,the same idea could be turned onto our overflowing prisions,theres no logic in imprisioning people, save murderers for any length of time,if we can reprograme these people via education,to participate wholly in our society,this is our ultimate goal after all.
I'm not a bleeding heart,I am however a realist,if its broken,it needs fixing. The system as it stands is obscenely broken,you would have to be either a politician or a raving luntic to suggest otherwise IMHO.
I'm talking about the circa $10 billion dollars were happily throwing away as a sup to say "there,were doing all we can", arent we nice people,lets merrily carry on as before,even if its not working,because afterall,we are spending alot of money arent we.
