Sorry to break up the howlers thread, but just found some info from early 2000's when a trader named Zaitech was posting here and was brilliant. Don't know if he imploded but here are some of his mantra's for trading. (Note mkt conditions were a bit more bullish back then)

    1. Go to what's hot
    2. An error does not become a mistake if you acknowledge it fast and take action
    3. When the market speaks, I listen
    4. Trade them hard whilst hot and then when they cool..give them to others to hold
    5. Its easier to stay in sync than it is to try and get back in sync
    6. You do not need to risk picking the exact bottom to profit from a bounce.
    7. Make your capital sweat; only buy into stocks that are moving up. Always trade the price action.
    8. Keep you exit decisions simple; if a trade goes against me, all I need is the price to hit my stop..that's all the confirmation I need.
    9. Be eternally vigilant; traded them going up and watch them fall for signs of support/resistance
10.If you are going to run against a wall (resistance), do so with momentum; otherwise you could end up flat on your nose rather than crashing though the other side.

Apologies to Z for any inaccuracies (if he's still around), these were gathered by a friend of mine from the info he used to give out. Got heaps of these. He was very generous with sharing info. Still relevant and may be of use to some new chums.
