I agree - a battle for flags has been going on for millenia. It's feudal bullshit.

Do you have pride in symbols - or pride in how you engage with other humans?

Flags are a fantastic tool for leaders to corral followers. Useful in war and sport.

But when a flag becomes indoctrinated into the citizen mindset (any group)- it becomes something potentially dangerous.

I cringe at public flag-waving. When I see it I think - why surrender your free-will to a piece of flapping nylon?
