Abbott holds a position of great responsibility in this nation. Simply because he isn't in government doesn't mean that he can't influence and affect government's attempts to enact legislation etc; doesn't mean his words don't impact on the citizens of this nation; blah blah blah.... Seriously, we're talking Politics 101 here.
He gets criticised for what he does, and it is a nice fit with him, that he then tries to pretend he's an innocent bystander. Cowards do that. No surprises there. Ask Pauline Hanson.
To try to ignore Abbott's irresponsible behaviour may suit your political bias, but it doesn't make sense.
