I was not aware of any pending court case - my bad, I should have been more thorough. My concern would be that if the case is lost, the company relinquishes operatorship. When that happens, shareholders are at the whim and mercy of another company, with interests that may or may not align with ggp.
Also, there will be a steady drain on finances and resources, with no end date in sight. This is not good news.
The best thing they can do for ggp shareholders is drill as many wells as possible in the time they have before the case is determined. At least if the wells are drilled and the oil already flowing, there will be ongoing income for the company.
Here's hoping they get their 10 in for this year.
