Endless, I believe that many second and third world countries will leapfrog first world countries in New Energy developments. Reason is, these countries are up and coming economies with a need to increase energy supply, whereas first world countries are generally stuck with maintaining old infrastructure. The World Bank, and other international organisations, have already flagged an imperative for new energy infrastructure in the devoloping countries to be sustainable. Hence, we are seeing geothermal being developed in countries around the volcanic rim like Chile, Argentina, Djibouti, Kenya etc..
