    I agree mate, there appears to be a disparity between the commentary and what is actually happening of late.

    I happen to hold Alan Kohler in fairly high regard, he doesn't like world fundamentals because of the potential for deleveraging on a large scale and the effect this might have on the markets, the market however seems to defy this for the time being. That may be due to current QE policies and the creating of an illusion that all is well, the banks are flushed with cheap money and this alone could be driving the markets, if that is the case then the piper will come calling eventually.

    At the same time, emerging markets could be taking up a lot of the slack of flailing demand in the developed economies.

    So many variables at work and very hard to know where it's all going but very wise to keep a 50% exposure, I'm around 65/35 at the moment, always wise to keep some dry powder on the side.
