While your analysis is on the money, a major hedge fund investor taking 10% stake in the company through the equity raising is a bit rubbish. Hedge funds are short term players, stumping up cash is not in their blood unless they see a takeover opportunity. A private equity partner is more likely, which would require them to pay a premium on the current share price if they want 20% or more of the company. Just ask Spotless or any other companies being targeted by private equity partners.
GNS holders have the most to gain from a substantial equity injection by a jv partner or private equity if the cash is $100 million plus!
