Can't get my head around this. Projected earning are very high.
Are these mallee trees eventually harvested and for what use are they sold? Oil? What is the expected life span of a WA mallee plantation? What then happens to the carbon credits? What is achieved by tying up carbon in mallee trees for say 25 years if they are to be cleared and burnt and the land then returned to food production? Are the plantations insured for destruction by fire, disease or insect attack?
