Would you take a 30% pay cut?
Most wouldn't, but the alternative is nothing, so most would grudgingly take the cut in pay.
Greek Public servants received 13th and 14th month salaries. ie: They work for 12 months, but get paid for 14.
These sort of things have been cut as part of the austerity measures, but the private sector workers currently hanging onto their holiday bonuses at Christmas, Easter and in the summer amounting to two months pay.
