Varun Industries though it two operating companies Varun International SARL and Madagascar Energy Corporation have been awarded Uranium mining permits for the blocks – 379 and 732 respectively. These mining concessions comprise of 1,111 blocks covering an area of 6,950 sq kms. The blocks have an estimated geological reserves of 1.7 MMT of Uranium with 4.35 MMT of Thorium and 53,000 kgs.

I dont think the above tenement has anything to do with the Varun and Torian JV. Varun have a truck load of projects running at the moment but that does not mean TNR has any entitlement to them. From what I can see the only affiliation between TNR and Varun is the Vatovorona project where TNR have 35% and Varun 65%.
