"but why the hell can't they issue an explanation?"

I think this is our main gripe ATM.

Most of us understand that after previous years optimistic outlook driven by " The Greatest Moral Challenge of Our Times" and some reasonable or generous and over the top government subsidies, this year the solar and wind installations have been put on the back-burner or canceled altogether.

I believe this is only temporary, given the fact that both government and opposition are still committed to the renewable energy targets. The Carbon Tax, so hated by the opposition, is a step towards higher renewables future. Carbon tax, when established, will make the RECs more valuable, at least in the near term, as the power generators will need to buy more of them or pay more tax, while they are readjusting their operations.

So, while we are waiting for the domestic renewable energy projects to come back from the current dormancy, the least CBD could do is to keeps us informed and reassure us that they are not going out backwards.

This sloppy quarterly report that has prompted ASX query is not what I would expect from company that cares about its shareholders.

Let us hope that the promised forthcoming statement will be less haphazard and will explain accurately current financial position.
