Let's hit this government saved us from the GFC crap on the head. Even if you believe it the cost was way too high. It was calculated that the subsidy to save each job in the building industry during the GFC came in at over $350,000. What moron would spend that sort of money to 'protect' a job that was earning $100,000 or less? Currently we have the car package debacle. The cost or subsidy for each job stands at $160,000. Again what sort of mental economic midget thinks this is a good idea?
