blue are you serious the banks need to make a bit of a margin on the side what 24 billion profit that's not even revenue from a 21 million odd population that's more than 2000 when you cut out babies, kids and unemployed profit per person in Australia take out the fact that they are taking more like 4000 odd in the fees and margins rubbish in revenue the rest being dispensed into costs and wages. It is absolutely ridiculous. A super profit tax on the banks is equally ridiculous as they don't take anything from our country other than cash and have no serious environmental impact on our country why should there be any super profit tax. miners profit comings exclusively from taking and selling our countries natural resources big difference. The key to fixing the ridiculous profit of the banks lies in regulation and reducing the oligopoly which is the ACCC's job.
