Don't try to turn the direction of the thread. There are many who would agree that we should be able to decide who we want and under what conditions. There may eventually actually be more immigrants than we currently get, but they sure as hell won't be the types that arrive with destroyed travel documents, sucking ordinary hard working australian taxpayers dry on health and dental care, free legal representation, housing advantages, dole and free travel to funerals.
