Yes, Israel has a friend in the US
Why? Many reasons.
Here's a few in a random order.
1. Yes, there are Jews in Israel and there is a large Jewish population in the US - so I guess it follows the aid will be there.
2. Take a look at the geography of the region - take a look at Russia's position relative to the oil fields....take a look at who the Ruskkies supported for many years...then take a look at the one little country allied to the US that represented a barrier to the russians.
Dont forget the Cold War is only just over and most of the present geopolitical alliances have their roots well in truely in that era.
3. The US is a an ally to the Jews. And they are under attack. Hence support is forthcoming
And before you and the rest of the muslim-apologists, anti-Israel , politically correct, shoot-yourself-in-the-foot brigade go off.....I am convinced that if Australia was in conflict....so to would US aid flow into the country.
4. And no matter how you want to put it, that Israel has killed a lot of civilians and there has been mayhem in the "occupied terrirtories" is perhaps true, but no one who thinks straight or has a glimmer of humanity equates those actions with a suicide bombing campaign that clearly targets wonmen and children. And whose families then get paid by the other Arab countries - ratbags like the Saudi's and Iraqis..
Who do you really believe a Western, rational and humane society would support??
