I can short APPL on cityindex though.

On an anecdotal note, I know people working in both Apple and Google. I can tell that the Google people are much happier than the Apple ones. That says a lot about the culture and management. I believe Google will take a fair chunk of Apple's profits in the future.

USD/JPY is holding firm, although I've closed my longs, anticipating a backtest.

Last night was quite interesting, when DAX was up over 1%, I notice the SPX and SPI barely moved.

Just a simple chart, the 200DMA is just above 78, which I reckon is the retracement target.
