Even Lindsay Fox is bearish on the regional economy. Listening to him today he said he had put on 1 staff in eastern australia in the past year, about 500 in the west, but about 3000 in SE asia. Reckons eastern states are set for a long downward spiral due to reliance on manafacuring and retail, people are simply getting things made overseas cheaper. He is spot on too.
