"if I ever carried on like that I would be ashamed".

Head - you're not, then, "ashamed" of this colossal and increasingly obvious alleged huge cover up of the Thomson affair? It's OK by you, then is it?? To duck, weave, and obfuscate - all to stymie the Australian people's now clamorous demands for an election NOW! And now, with Thomson duly shielded, and strangely NOT striving (as any fellow with any pride would) for his own justice and outcomes to put the record right if it wasn't "him" and he's innocent, alternately he's hiding behind the Gillard skirts, silent.
wouldn't someone who's innocent be outraged at the insult - and demand that the hearing hurry up and clear them?? Of course they would! Moreso if they think there's another culprit who masqueraded as them! Why isn't Thomson asking questions? Fighting for his honor? No, he sits po faced, contributes nothing to the Parliament, and says absolutely nothing. Wonder what his constituents think re. their "value for money" with his stony faced invisibility.
So - as a result - we the public have to suffer for another 21 months - just so Gillard or whomever takes over, can stretch the job out?

If Abbott and Co. were doing this to the people of Australia - i.e. holding us to ransom courtesy Windsor/Oakeshott's personal hatreds, and virtually thumbing their noses at our citizen's rights, I wouldn't vote for them in a pink fit. If Gillard had the slightest skerrick of decency or personal dignity in the face of adversity, ( traits she is not exhibiting) she would step down and give us the election we deserve - NOW! But no, she prefers the alternative of getting up in front of Parliament each day and with the Slipper report, screaming defiant spite and vitriol. And the solace of her endless alleged plots - which seem to multiply daily.

(It's said that Slipper's now known in politician's joking circles as "Slipperace!") He deserves to be a figure of fun, so all over the place is he with his Gillard sycophantic rulings.

Getting back to the title of this thread, nearly bought Air Australia tickets for o/seas online early last December. Only seeing a cautionary article by sheer chance, outlining some rumoured doubts aired in the travel press about Air Australia's ability to survive, made us stop for a re-think.

But what a terrible shame! They were just starting to get going - some good group bookings coming up - travel agents starting to show them some respect - and now - whammy!

    Very very sad.
