just guessing, but perhaps the initiator of this thread did it in hope to see god (whatever that is) - perhaps he did but didn't recognize it, or freely admit to it.
for two or 3 days i just had a cup of tea and a biscuit. i did this while working, and it was the equivalent of do physical work while wearing weights on your legs and arms energy went from 10/10 to 1/10
i later did 10 days with no evening meal, which is probably a better way to go for someone like me, that has a habit of comfort eating. still not easy, but there was definitely mental and physical benefits experienced.
