suggesting that you need to accept jesus or else you will not be saved immediately portrays your god as a bit of an elitist, who only accepts those who obey certain club requirements - wear the patch or stay out.
if a god truly loved what it created, then it would embrace all of it unconditionally (even human mothers are capable of this)
the impression i am getting is that the christian's have settled for a subordinated interpretation of god, one that hasn't managed to master unconditional love.
