The ability to link holes based on geological knowledge – seeing relationships that do not exist (or may exist but need evidence/drill-holes to test the hypothesis).
People quote JORC like it’s the Bible. It’s not!!! It is the opinion of a competent person who has a minimum of five years relevant experience in the style of mineralisation that he/she is evaluating. Like all things it can be manipulated, or extended beyond recognition (as it is increasingly commonly done now-days). Due to necessity, geologists have to be optimistic. Sometimes (often actually) they push the envelope too far.
I am so sorry… did try and warn some of you. Although I was approaching from a mining perspective.
