My take on it though is usually I never have the benefit of knowing of a potential takeover as I am a regular investor

The lucky ones are those who get the inside scoop on things like WCL and then buy the stock from 25c-30c knowing a takeover is coming at 65c and people like me see this and think how unfair and rigged things can be at times

With BAS I have 2 bits of information that's not speculation

The company recieved some sort of an approach

it was significant enough that the directors got a valuation done which shows as a bare minimum the company should be double what it is

For me those factors are good enough to make it a speculative buy
