buddy134,
Thanks for your reply. your observation that Wayne McCrae said only a few weeks before making a sale of the first tranch of shares to M@G at $2 that there would be no raising at the price level prevailing at that time is correct.
It does however have to be put in the context of the precarious position CDU faced with massive shorting of the stock following the release of the JORC and subsequent abyssmal share price making CDU highly vulnerable to a takeover---desperate times---desperate action
The emergence of M@G as a major cornerstone investor[ the first ever] stabilised the price from dropping further and, as it transpired, resulted in M@G acquiring more shares up to [ from memory] $4.70. They saved CDU'S bacon that time and have now forked out another $32 million for the additional 8 million shares and could well be in the market for more.
Without M@G support after the release of the JORC, CDU would not be in the sound financial position it is in today. It could easily have been yesterday's memory and mining would have been something only to dream about.
You talk of many promises that never came to fruition. I cannot offer any comment as you have not given any other instances where you say this occured. I will be able to give my slant on things when you do.
You state that you have doubts but are still holding. I am still holding and have no doubts. M@G and our two major Chinese companies [that's 3 major cornerstone investors] must think as I do.
The message I was endeavouring to get across was that the RC holes have been found to not be as accurate as the Diamond because of the native copper. Better results from the diamond than the RC.
I used copper equivalent figures from the 2010 Annual Report. Some I quote now from the 2009 Annual Report[ not in copper equivalent] are worth revisiting. A few examples of the many RC holes listed in that report are now cited:
LMRC201 133 Metres at 6.13% copper
DORC486 27 metres at 7.75 % copper 3.44% gold 502ppm cobalt
LMRC207 132 metres at 3.74 % copper
DORC444 31 Metres at 2.61 % copper [ which included 4 metres at 10.91 % copper,510ppm cobalt and 2.11 g//t gold
lmrc207 132 metres @3.74% copper
It is clear that an upgrade is likely going on the company's experience with diamond drilling results
as compared to RC drilling.
You can get a better picture if you visit and have a listen to the video "There is something big under there" on the CuDeco website.
Shareholders and potential shareholders are recommended to watch and absorb the contents of that video particularly RC drilling and native copper nuggets and you will understand where I am coming from.
