    my guess:

    the seller has got a big parcel of options to convert but can't sell that many ords to raise funds without crashing the price.

    the buyer is hungry for shares but did not want to run the price.

    there is a middleman who happens to know both.

    A deal has just been done.

    reasonable speculation?
