    wow wow wow...I honestly didn't mean to offend or even question your knowledge/expertise/contribution. The use of capitals was clearly a mistake on my part so please take no offence.

    Reading you post again I agree with most of what you are saying and you sort of agree with me in parts. We both understand the logistics of csg & shale and the challenges of deliverability, and yes I agree shale will be just as hard and more expensive than csg, mostly due to fracking and distances associated with the Cooper. I never said otherwise???

    Plenty of money sloshing around but IMHO (and my opinion only) some of the QLD csg reserves calculations are questionable and I don't think the Big players are going to leave it to chance! The csg rush (like a gold rush) saw some silly money being paid for positions. Thus the CB could look like a very attractive "reserves insurance policy" to the QLD LNG exporters, or others.

    Any surplus to their needs can always be added to exports or sold domestically so why not grab the reserves and control supply before a competitor does. That is the point I am trying to make here - would you disagree?

    That's my spin on the situation........
