All those transformers plugged in and supplying the periphials your computer uses are still powered up and using juice, even if your computer goes to sleep. As well as consuming power they run hot and add to the need for air-con. I've installed a swith to my power boards so I can switch them all off when i'm away from the puter, as I''m just about do so ...now...byee.
