afternoon all,

"for me the question is:

Why even go there ?"

I thought that a while back and again I thought that last week.

But then I thought it through. My feeling is that we don't need anything at present as well - strongly.

However, I thought back to Uni days and building networks through your life ---------- networks are the lifeblood of business (and your own career as well).

Whilst we might not need anything now - it might be a completely different kettle of fish in a couple of years or 5 or even 1 -----------

in that case it is wise to have a wide well connected network. Assuming it is done well. It won't do any harm for people to have heard about fml and have personal contact with CB and if anyone else is going - then them as well.

There are a multitude of reasons for a network - just a few examples --

1.if you want to get the oil on if something is going on that you have heard about in your patch - the very best way is if you have 'mates' in and around whoever it might be that is playing funny buggers.
2. It gives you the inside running for deals with those contacts in the future ----------- would you rather deal with a stranger or would you rather deal with someone you know?
3. If you wanted to list in Toronto - wouldn't it be nice to have a few Canuck mates you could get some advice and contacts from.

etc. etc.

So to my thinking - it might be far more important having CB standing around having a drink and a yak between activities in these conferences/meets than what can be gained from just the crossing of information from the microphone.

I might be wrong, but I think we have got to do it.

Look at the contacts that Don Taig and Chuck have got over the years -------- god only knows, that must have cost a fortune in bar tabs :O --------- but is it worth it?

Of course it is, not only TI came to us from existing relationships, but so did many of the other tenements I'll bet.

Anyway - that's my thoughts on it.
