Hi Pethard, I also think Gaans is shaping up to be important.
Remember the olden days when Voyager was showing colourful images of large IP anomalies (e.g. ANN 27/07/11, Fig.2, p. 11)?
It's worth taking a look where Gaans is on that Figure. If I worked it out correctly, it's sitting right in the middle of the northern edge of the large IP anomaly.
I'm still wondering if that IP anomaly translates to anything of interest and what correlation (if any) exists between these models and actual porphyry stocks.
According to the latest Quarterly, they are chasing a pipe at Gaans plunging down to the Northwest, which would trend away from that IP anomaly. Anyway, food for thought.
