There is also the possibility that the ChiComs will continue to mop up beyond 80% for the condition to delist may still not be satisfied.
The 80% threshold is just a psychological threat to intimidate. So far of all the companies I have held shares in and were taken over, they were all compulsorily acquired after the suitor gained 90% (with NOT one exception).
NOT one was able to delist at 80% (NOT EVEN Glencore in the case of MRE).
The longer we hold out, the higher the reward.
