re: Ann: Change in substantial holding - J.P.... mcbombers and others interested

Its not so much about being an optimist or a pessimist in my view.

Its about making determinations and basing your opinions on fact and demonstrated results.

People make investments and then become shareholders. Shareholders then become emotionally involved and financially involved in that company/s.

They invest to make money - not to lose it.

They invest because they believe a company is going somewhere.

What some here wouldn't or don't appreciate is that posters like you, many others here - and myself i might add, have given a LOT to this company in $$$$$ and POSITIVE PR and goodwill.....FOR YEARS!!!!!!

Some here don't quite understand that circumstances change. So many of us i'm sure REALLY want PLV to do well, the management to do well and of course the MD to do well.

    Because we are invested.

But things have not come to pass. Things have not been done as they should have in many shareholders eyes.

What many of us are screaming out for is leadership, direction and good ol' fashioned accountability and humility.

Right now PLV do not have ANY right at all to get stroppy or concerned with shareholders concerns. None whatsoever. They merely need to heed it and act accordingly...not react to it.

Their job is to focus on their job - the job they get paid to do with the funds we pay them, and they raise based on 'our mandate' for them to do it.

More needs to be done...more needs to be 'seen' to be done.

This company kicked a lot of goals prior to the JTC MOU imo. There was momentum and an optimism and strong belief.

NEVER underestimate the 1 %ers and 'perception' of your shareholders or the market.

People are not stupid. Many companies unfortunately think they are and that things left unsaid...or not spelt out properly will all be well...

Strong language is important. Why do you think Winston Churchill was such a powerful figure in WW2? Let me tell you something, old winston spoke with power, authority and conviction....and he didnt write most of his speeches either!!!

Nor do most world leaders. Why? Because they get professional help with it.

    Why?

Because language is powerful....and very important in conveying a message. You get professionals to do it.

PLV's language isn't powerful of late. It lacks confidence, conviction and belief. Its started to become vague and distant...theres a 'vibe' here.....most here can see that i'm sure.

Go back and look at the strong positive language used in announcements passed. Look at the confidence.
We knew the 'vibe' as it was unmistakable.

Not criticism folks. Its called critique.

We just saw K Rudd cop some humble pie today. Brilliant man imo but flawed.
Confident, arrogant and incredibly gifted...but even he admitted he fell well short of the mark....he failed to listen and delegate.

He has experienced at least to some degrees, personal introspection out of necessity, humulity out of necessity and circumstances, and he has had to hear...and finally 'listen' (a distinct difference) to the feedback on his performances that led him out of the PM's chair.

Fact is he is now a much stronger man imo and a much stronger candidate to lead the Labor party due to that process....too bad Julia got the gig imo..

John Howard is another good example.

Its never too late for any man, woman or team to pick up the pieces....but they have to get honest with themselves, the people they represent, and they have to start engaging in the process of hearing and listening so they can improve themselves and the people they represent.

The Labor party are now going through that process....and by their admission they are now focused where they should be...on the people.

I hope that makes sense to some here....

Right now PLV is just a few good announcements with some very clear and definitive language away from much better times....if that is that this company is 'still' in the game.

The management team still have time to turn this 'sentiment' around.
There is still time to build and rebuild the bridges with shareholders and the market.

But take note that it starts and stops with them.

The majority of shareholders i'm sure, of which I am 'still' one, still believe they can pull this off with the right attitude and approach and make this company a clear winner.

Its their call...each and every one of them..individually and collectively.

The management team have my support...but I must start seeing positive changes and clear communication telling it how it is.
