One thing I don't understand is the level of hatred that these terrorists had towards the U.S before and leading up to Sept 11.
What seems logical about the following?
    1. The U.S. support Israel in the Middle East, as opposed to supporting the arabic/persian governments in that region.
    2. The U.S. pursues a relationship with the Middle Eastern govt's wholly for the sake of oil supply It is therefore the decision of those govt's to determine their foreign policy w.r.t supplying oil to the U.S. and it is also the responsibility of those govt's to determine the distribution of wealth amongst their respective populations.

So ... it is evident that the Middle Eastern countries have a reason to have uneasy relations with the U.S., but I cannot understand the intensity of the hatred towards the U.S. in the above discussed period before the second gulf war.

The type of hatred which these extremists exhibit is the type of hatred which is normally seen by countries which have experienced genocide on their populations.

I don't understand the intensity of their hatred ... maybe they are taking their anger out on the western world because they are surpressed from taking it out on the Israeli's in that region.
    Beats me???
